For a quarter century, Stefan Baumann has devoted his life to providing the critical resources of education and inspiration, as well as specific tools to help people measurably improve the quality of their painting. His ability to develop systems for creating immediate and lasting change has made him a recognized expert in Location Painting

People from all walks of life, (those just beginning the journey to successful art currieries, and those who have already reached the pinnacle of achievement), call on Stefan Baumann to take their art to the next level.

CritiqueWorkshop Classes are open to all skill levels and are taught Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is a two hour lunch break, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. between locations. Students reconvene at 5:00 p.m. for a one hour critique of the day’s work. Advice and suggestions are given that will to be applied to the next day's work.

Each morning, Baumann will begin the day with a demonstration and a lecture on the “do's and don'ts” of outdoor painting

Objectives: Baumann will demonstrate and lecture on the characteristics of painting outdoors. He will place emphasis on composition, color, technique, and light.

Fee:
$350.00 for non students of Baumann
$275.00 for students of Baumann
$100.00 down payment is due upon confirmation of your reservation.

Lodging: A complete list of motels, campgrounds, and hotels can be sent upon request. Every attempt is made to select locations that are accessible to restrooms and restaurants. In some instances, bag lunches will be advised. Due to weather conditions, an event may be canceled and dues will be applied to the next event. Travel arrangements are often taken care of cooperatively: Carpools are usually the option most utilized.

Students should plan for two paintings each day. Workshop and location classes are restricted in number and fill up fast.

 

Location

Location classes are conducted for all skill levels, including beginners and artists who are newcomers to outdoor painting.

Location classes range from half-day to full-day of painting instruction outdoors.

Every attempt is made to select locations that are accessible to restrooms and restaurants. In some instances, bag lunches will be advised.

Due to weather conditions, an event may be canceled and dues will be applied to the next event.
